We're not sure who holds the record for the most visits to the Netherlands- we can only hope to break it. On my first trip I was hooked. As a kid it was the tulips and windmills that called to me. They still do- but there's another form of vegetation that calls even louder! Yes, the coffeeshops are plentiful and enjoyable, but honestly: We'd love Amsterdam and the Netherlands even without the, uh, coffee. It's a beautiful, welcoming, incredibly enjoyable place to visit- and we recommend it HIGHLY!
