MARYLANDS MEDICAL MARIJUANA BILL SUCKS- B-A-D!!!

For those of you in Maryland, TIME TO GET INVOLVED!
Senator David Brinkley, et al, have re-intorduced the Medical Marijuana Bill that they feel is in our best interest. Well guess what? IT'S NOT! Far from it- it stinks, and is supposedly a model for UPCOMING NATIONWIDE MMJ REFORM.
They've ushered in none other than Montel WIlliams to speak to the house. His speech was impassioned and sincere. Thank you Mr. Williams.
The bill calls for tight control, a select group of good-ol-boy growers, NO PROVISO FOR AT-HOME GROWING (they want QUALITY CONTROL), and dispensing by pharmacies.
I called Senator Brinkley, and the above is what he himself conveyed to me. He said that the Maryland bill was designed to be the tightest in the nation. He sees the need for medical marijuana- BUT KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT IT!
I asked how the pharmacist would know what type of weed to dispense, to which he replied "what do you mean". DAVID BRINKLEY KNEW NOTHING ABOUT THE VARYING TYPES OF MARIJUANA UNTIL OUR DISCUSSION. I schooled him as best I could about indicas and sativas, which he found interesting, but (and get this): HE SAID HE REALLY DIDN'T CARE ABOUT ANY OF ALL THAT- just the passage of the bill and let the rest sort itself out. His thought: the doctors will need to school themselves in order to save themselves from being sued for malpractice. Now you tell me: have you ever met a stoner, um, I mean "medical marijuana patient", who would sue because he or she got a medical grade indica rather than sativa???
Oh please- save us all!
Just because it's a provision to allow access for severely ill patients does NOT mean that it is good. THIS LAW IS BAD NEWS- FOR MARYLAND, AND EVENTUALLY FOR US ALL.
